Ranchos Penasquitos and Bernardo
Have you noticed on a map that Rancho Penasquitos is adjacent to Camino
Bernardo, High Country West, and 4S Ranch, but that "you can't get
there from here" unless you're on foot or a mountain bike?
This view looks southwest across High Country West, Camino
Bernardo, and Penasquitos to Black Mountain, and shows how close
together these communities really are. I-15 at Camino Del Norte
is in the lower left. These areas are served by the Poway Unified
School District, and they all enjoy the Carmel Valley ocean breezes. It's
a short hop, skip, and a jump as the crow flies. (photo
